#not sure how much personal life i share here#(probs too much) but anyway#i've not been here much recently because i've spent so much time at doctors and the hospital#i'm healthy nw but my girlfriend has been diagnosed with breast cancer#we're trying to stay positive bc luckily it has only spread into one lymph gland in her armpit and not further#it's not a very aggressive tumor more like... midfield.. from how i understood it#i'm upset bc we've felt it for a while now but she didn't go to a gyno until now bc 1. finishing degree 2. miss rona 3. our move#anyway we're relieved that she most likely will be spared of chemo from what we know so far#probably looking at a mastectomy and since it's the genetic type of cancer to be on the safe side she might have to angelina jolie this one#anyway...#nothing to be happy about but it could be worse#her brother was diagnosed with lymph gland cancer just a few weeks ago and just started chemo..#none of this is fair#anyway that's whats mainly been going on#the scary thing is that the mammogram doesn't even show the cancerous cells! so we're 'lucky' they're so easy to feel#but either way nobody pays for a mammogram with 30 so.#so i guess most importantly: check ur chest frequently and don't hesitate to go to a doctor if you feel anything suspicious. please.#even her mom said it's probably just calcification when she told her abt the lumps a few months ago ://#stay safe guys.
